objective
PSP is a strategic asset manager to the public sector, partnering with councils and local authorities across the county to help deliver on their corporate property ambitions. These all-electric offsite homes are part of PSP’s Build-to-Rent housing programme and were the first of three energy-efficient schemes to be delivered over the next 12 months.

what we did
PSP worked with Swale Council to construct six zero-carbon family homes in Sittingbourne, Kent. Modularize worked alongside the offsite manufacturer NetZero Buildings to develop the pod & panelised system to achieve zero carbon by designing an extremely efficient building envelope.
outcomes
This building system has been ground-breaking regarding the pod and panel approach applied for pre-assembly. Modularize also coordinated the M&E within the system to ensure that the system was fully mortgageable and offered significant energy reduction to the end users.
These low-energy offsite homes also feature PV solar panels to generate their own energy and also are fitted with air-source heat pumps to heat the hot water to reduce energy consumption further.
